Waves: FEET FIRST a 5Rhythms workshop with Claire Alexander
February 3-5, 2012
Friday 6:30-9:00pm
Saturday 11:30-6:30 pm
Sunday 11:00-4:00 pm
Cost: $175 / $155 before Jan 13 /
$30 Friday night only

We enter this practice as we enter any room – one foot after another, one step at a time. As we deepen our relationship with the 5Rhythms we discover a body that longs to reunite with it’s instincts, to breathe and move and be danced.  This weekend will be an opportunity to tune into the innate wisdom of our physical selves. By focusing on the five physical gateways (feet, hips, head, hands, and breath) that connects us to each rhythm, we’ll let our bodies show us the way, organically, without complicated stories or concepts. Whether you are experienced in the 5Rhythms or new to this practice, this body-based approach will call you home and ground you in the simplicity of this practice…feet first.  To register via paypal visit www.pinklotusmovementcafe.com or contact Cindy at info@pinklotusmovementcafe.com / 612.703.2588.

Wu-Wei Workshop Series
Wu-Wei through Yin Yoga and Chinese Tea
Cost: $25.00 per person per workshop
Instructor: Michelle Pietrzak-Wegner

Sunday, February 12th • 2-4pm FIRE ELEMENT

Wu-Wei means the art of non-action; the practice of being without doing. Yin Yoga asks us to surrender and be with what is, allowing us the space to sink into our bodies and our minds allowing them to merge. The Chinese tea ceremony, Gong Fu, is the traditional practice of Wu-Wei in China that also encourages surrendering into the experience of drinking tea and connecting us to nature and grounds us in the present moment. Join Michelle Pietrzak-Wegner for a special monthly Wu-Wei workshop of Yin Yoga followed by the Gong Fu tea ceremony. Each 2-hour monthly workshop will focus on one of the five Chinese elements as it’s central theme. Enjoy 80-90 minutes of Yin Yoga available for all levels and 30 minutes of tea ceremony with meditation that will feature a hand-picked chinese tea paired with that month’s Chinese element.  Pre-registration required. Space is limited. To register please email omwithmichelle@gmail.com or call 612-817-5232
